Although he has never showed himself up so much, Billy Jones has been a blues, rhythm & blues and soul lover since his tender childhood. When he was a young boy he proved his skills for music, which led him to learn from such amazing teachers like Little Johnny Taylor, Rufus Thomas or Larry Davis. In his teenager years, you could already find him backing artists like Bar-Kays, Chaka Khan or Chocolate Milk. With all this background it is not strange that our man is able to perform the blues in the most orthodox and traditional style but, at the same time, give them a very contemporary vision with a touch of soul, that makes them very attractive to the new generations. Although he has been a musician who has never cared too much about getting a place in the competitive music industry world, this recording comes to do justice and confirm the quality, experience, good work and the real luck we have to enjoy the fifteen impressive songs this album treasures, also displayed with a careful final production. Aunque nunca se ha prodigado demasiado, Billy Jones ha sido un amante del blues, el rhythm & blues y el soul desde su más tierna infancia. Desde muy pequeño mostró su predisposición hacía la música, lo que le llevó a aprender de maestros como Little Johnny Taylor, Rufus Thomas o Larry Davis. Cuando solamente era un adolescente ya se le podía encontrar acompañando a artistas como Bar-Kays, Chaka Khan o Chocolate Milk. Con todo este bagaje no es extraño que nuestro hombre sea capaz de interpretar los blues en el estilo más ortodoxo y tradicional pero al mismo tiempo darles una visión muy contemporánea con toques de soul que los hace atractivos para las nuevas generaciones de aficionados. A pesar de ser un músico que nunca se ha preocupado demasiado por hacerse un lugar en el competitivo mundo de la industria musical, este trabajo viene a hacer justicia y a confirmar la calidad, la experiencia, el buen hacer y la inmensa suerte de poder disfrutar de las quince impresionantes canciones que este álbum atesora y que, además, ofrecen una cuidada grabación. Mi consejo es que no os lo penséis dos veces y os hagáis inmediatamente con una copia de este fantástico disco. Seguro que lo vais a disfrutar. ...MUY BUENO.
